Glenmorangie has teamed up with pastry maestro Dominique Ansel to create a whole series of cocktail. In this whisky they acquired some Tokaji dessert wine casks to finish this whisky and in doing so, has created an graceful, sweeter dram with a prefusion of cake and dessert characteristics. The nose is, orchard fruits, acacia honey and creamy vanilla initially, followed by stewed orange, golden sultanas and a little Amalfi lemon, with a hint of white chocolate. A complex palate of orange chocolate, apricot croissant and more vanilla with a hint little dark fruit underneath. The finish lingers for an age with notes of marmalade, honeycomb and some fresh pear.
